Dr. Wilson Evans Kulaba

Dr. Wilson Evans Kulaba, (Ph.D) is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Jubilee Christian Life Church International [JCLCI]; a dynamic and fast growing ministry in Kireka – Kampala. He is also the Founder of Jubilee Churches Uganda – an umbrella organization that oversees Jubilee Churches founded in various districts of Uganda, and President of Jubilee Corporate Classic.

The vision to begin Jubilee Christian Life Church began with a word from Leviticus 25:10; “…to proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants …” after he had been liberated from living a reckless life of addiction to drugs and alcoholism. Kulaba went through a series of struggles searching for meaning in life. In frustration, he attempted to end his life by trying to commit suicide but in 1988, he met Jesus, who transformed his life into one of great influence and positive impact to many lives to the glory of God.

Born of a mixed race parentage in the Eastern part of Uganda (Jinja), he suffered the separation of his parents at a very tender age of six months. At the age of 17, Dr. Wilson responded to the call to ministry by giving up his aspiration to study engineering and joined Alpha and Omega Seminary to study Christian Theology in 1992. He was officially ordained in the work of the ministry.

During his sophomore year in Bible College, the desire for evangelism was quickly taking root in Kulaba’s heart, getting him on the move with a group of young preachers. The highlight of the genesis of his ministry happened one day in a Sunday service in the church he was pastoring.

A woman, presumed to have lost her mind bustled in their midst while they were praying and everybody went stiff. Ignoring their frightened and tense disposition, Wilson went ahead to pray for her and she was immediately delivered. That was the fuel that sparked off the evangelistic fire that was slowly rising in Dr. Wilson’s life. It marked the beginning of his confidence and boldness to preach the Word. He never looked back.
